Data Management Test exemplars

Here are examples of Level 4 or higher work from the Data Management test:

  1. How does your work compare?  
  2. How can you improve your work?
Student received a level 4 because he identified multiple reasons why the data collected would be biased.  He also made the connection between a sample and population.
This student received a level 4 because he outlined a clear plan that identifies who data will be collected from, how, and why.

This student received a level 4 because she created a frequency table accurately with appropriate labels and correct data.
This student received a level 4 because he identified why soccer and basketball should be played using data (he created the fractions and percents on his own).

This student received a level 4 work because he clearly used the graph to identify what Steve was trying to convince the owner and made an inference as to why Steve was doing this.

This student received a level 4 because she identified multiple ways the graph was misleading and gave reasons why it was misleading (i.e., how it caused the reader to be confused/misled).

This student received a level 4 because she identified a correct graph and gave many reasons why.  She also explained why she wouldn't use other types of graphs.

This student received a level 4 because she explained why her choice was the best player by using data from the table and comparing her choice to other players.
